One of the countless joys of travel: learning how others do things, even if it's something as simple as how street signs are worded.Trishiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02827588587258035270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3323012003780250968.post-68489384239319995802012-06-10T03:28:17.473-07:002012-06-10T03:28:17.473-07:00One day I'll get there. The bigger issue is that the 'old' version was an appropriate/integrated termination of the Prince's Gardens, the greenbelt which runs the entire length between the medieval Old Town with the castle on the hill on the left, and the 18th century New Town to the right. Apparently the city felt a subterranean visitor's center and shopping mall were a better use of the space than the original design, but perhaps they have recognized their mistake, as they are working on it again.... I don't think we ever figured out which 'priorities' were changing ahead, maybe they were just referring to the sunny weather!Archie Techthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08030376486096194337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3323012003780250968.post-43518407223909508562012-06-08T17:34:13.806-07:002012-06-08T17:34:13.806-07:00Having visited this lovely city twice, I very much...Having visited this lovely city twice, I very much agree - a wonderful place!!viridianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07938256248645774087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3323012003780250968.post-8328799641182765512012-06-08T14:51:24.167-07:002012-06-08T14:51:24.167-07:00"Changed Priorities Ahead" inspires an e..."Changed Priorities Ahead" inspires an etegami. Ha, ha. I had to go back and read everything you'd written just to see. That would be some way to announce it if you were. I was glad to see it was only a photograph of a sign. Of course, it does make me wonder how Edinburgh's priorities changed....Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12136584654825212359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3323012003780250968.post-5552715240461198102012-06-08T08:23:47.546-07:002012-06-08T08:23:47.546-07:00So much for progress!
