I love antique postcards because they preserve evidence of everyday life as well as celebrations and sad events. Looking at an old postcard is like holding a single piece of a puzzle; we have to imagine the rest.
I will try to put up a postcard every day. If you have a special request for a particular city or place, let me know!
Gorgeous postcards, the 3rd one is my favourite :) Beautiful handwriting too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful handwriting. I wonder if it was a made by a quill or fountain pen? :)
ReplyDeleteThese seem slightly improper - as if the woman herself is being sent through the post.

ReplyDeleteWhat pretty vintage postcards. I love the one in the middle.
ReplyDeleteDas sind ja ein paar clevere Karten.
ReplyDeleteDie erste Karte gefällt mir besonders gut.
Janine,
ReplyDeleteJa, mir auch!
I love that kind of card. It's hard to tell if it is the same woman.
ReplyDeleteGreat top postcard. What a great photography setup for her to be coming out of an envelope. Great post!
ReplyDeleteI think that top one is my favorite, too, the way she's tucked in the envelope.
ReplyDeleteWelches Jahr steht auf die Karten?
ReplyDeleteRoman,
ReplyDeleteIch bin nicht ganz sicher, aber die Karten sind alle von ungefaehr 1915.
