Philadelphia is not all about cheese steaks and the Liberty Bell, it's also about beautiful women and children - or so it would seem from this postcard.
Euro-stars or local heroes, I really like the idea of making the letters out of human images. It is sort of odd that a post card from the 'City of Brotherly Love' couldn't accommodate a single adult male image!
I love antique postcards because they preserve evidence of everyday life as well as celebrations and sad events. Looking at an old postcard is like holding a single piece of a puzzle; we have to imagine the rest.
I will try to put up a postcard every day. If you have a special request for a particular city or place, let me know!
Nothing like a collage of European stage stars that says "hello from Philadephia"! hehehe!:)
ReplyDeleteTrishia, those are European stage stars? I had no idea.

ReplyDeleteI've never seen a large letter like this before - faces in the letters or "greetings" as the big word. Fascinating!
