These funny cards arrived as a surprise gift from Pamela Gerard of the Cappuccino and Art Journal. Every time I look at dem I must laff so hard my belly does hurt.
Dese cards are so vonderful!!! Thanks Christine for taking a stroll through my enchanted forest's blog post. I am happy that you appreciated it like I did! Have a "Vonderful" veek!!!! Christine
The first card reminded me of the 'Kum & Go' gas station and convenience store where I used to live in Colorado- don't know that it was the best name for a business.... I always thought that 'youse' was associated to Yiddish.
I love antique postcards because they preserve evidence of everyday life as well as celebrations and sad events. Looking at an old postcard is like holding a single piece of a puzzle; we have to imagine the rest.
I will try to put up a postcard every day. If you have a special request for a particular city or place, let me know!
Ah mine hart does too just looking at dem!

ReplyDeleteMy husband is still laughing at them......so happy they made you smile too...
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking those pens are loaded and ready to fire. Looks like the first fellow is already aware it's going straight for his heart.
ReplyDeleteHow humor they are !!
