Wow, great tennis hat, sorta looks like Mrs. Claus heading to the courts for a few sets to relax after the holiday rush... And that plane on the last one was obviously drawn by an artist related to the ones that drew the fictional animals of lands they had never seen- I'm guessing it is going to be a short flight.
I love antique postcards because they preserve evidence of everyday life as well as celebrations and sad events. Looking at an old postcard is like holding a single piece of a puzzle; we have to imagine the rest.
I will try to put up a postcard every day. If you have a special request for a particular city or place, let me know!

ReplyDeleteFascinating how wholesome and yet sexy the tennis player looks. Oh so French.
ReplyDeleteI have mixed feelings about the tennis card--a nice picture, but for New Years? I love the others, especially the airplane.
ReplyDeleteThat has to be one of the most implausible flying machines ever. Happy New Year Christine.
