    Cool. Rocky Mount, NC is only about 30 minutes from here! In fact, the company I work for has a store there that I have to call from time to time. That's really cool!

    I know what you mean : there is an innocence about the architecture that, in itself, is attractive. I wonder if it is still standing 60 years on?

    Alan, it's still there, but I have a feeling it doesn't quite have the same appeal. Maybe Randy can drive by and take a picture for us. I do know that someone was murdered in one of their rooms in 2008. The victim lived there and was murdered by his brother. There are absolutely no reviews on any travel websites, so that makes me think they only rent by the week or month.

    I'll check into it. Either me or Anna at Chickens in the Basement. She's lives in the Raleigh area, but is from Nashville, which is only 10 min or so from there. I wasn't aware of the murder, but I'm not surprised. Rocky Mount tends to be one of our higher crime cities.
