Fishing for ? in Florida

This was in the 20-cent box at a local postcard sale.  Both the card and the message are amusing. I'm not going to comment on the message, but I did want to mention that this is another card that reached its destination with minimal address information.

  1. Love this postcard, christine! The sentiment expressed on the back though is sad... :(

  2. I guess Florida and alligators is a theme today.

    Happy PFF!

  3. Enjoyed the postcard. Quite a message! :-(

    Thanks for the links!

  4. Well, I guess maybe I don't see this as being so sad. While our hero, NAC, is clearly left all alone, he and his friends also clearly view women as commodities. They discuss them in the same way you might lament the breakdown of a car...and the subsequent purchase of a new one at another dealership. NAC may be heartbroken, but I doubt it; he never even mentions her name.

  5. Quite A message! I used to think like that sometimes ..why why.why I'm left all alone!

    Good question, WHY?

  6. wow! this is intriguing...and the typewritten back is quite unusual isn't it? don't you just LOVE the cards you find at the bottom of the bargain bin? they are often the best finds!

  8. Awww thanks so much for the really great link, Christine! You're so kind! I was just reading your profile - how lovely it must have been in the days of two deliveries a day! I wish that still happened!

    Kind regards,

  9. There should be no way to send the postcard to N.Rose.

Thank you for provide the link here.

  10. That this card reached its addressee does not surprise me. In 1961 small towns, like N.(North)Rose, delivered mail to persons without a street address just as they do today in small villages and towns in Alaska.

  11. Why is she bending (not like Beckham)? Is she looking for the perfect angle to become an...angler?
    Maybe she's fishing for compliments.
Why did she climb up the small hill? Queen of the Hill?
Does she want to have...two legs up on her competition? It may suit her well...
