Columbia, South Carolina
I just realized that I have five posts for North Carolina and none at all for South Carolina. To make amends, here are several cards from Columbia, South Carolina, capital city of South Carolina, and boyhood home of Woodrow Wilson.
Here are the backs of the cards in the same order.

I just don't come across South Carolina cards as often as I do North Carolina. I'm sure I have some (somewhere!), but they just don't seem to be as common. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe first image looks like a diorama/toy set/scale model - nice! :)
ReplyDeleteI see tracks...:)
wonderful linens! the jefferson hotel image uses a very strange perspective...it really looms towards us!
ReplyDeleteMaybe NC's greater size, population and geographic diversity from the Outer Banks to the Appalachian mountains have something to do with the apparently larger number of post cards. But SC has Charleston, and Columbia even gets a shout out from REM in the song 'Voice of Harold', so it can't be all that bad! The first and third cards could have been used as Streetcar-less Sunday posts per Dorin's observation.
ReplyDeleteI really like your blog. Visit mine and send me postcards

They don't make postcards with colours like these anymore.
