Don't miss breakfast; it's the most important meal of the day. Just ask this Marlon Brando look-alike who's sitting down for his most important meal at the Frost Diner in Warrenton, Virginia. The diner was built in 1955, and is still serving up classic diner fare, though not at 1955 prices. This is one of those great old diners with lots of shiny stainless steel. In this early card, the diner appears to be all by itself on the side of the road; other buildings have since sprouted up around it.
Here's a recent picture taken by Michelle A. of her breakfast at the Frost Diner:
If this makes you hungry for more breakfast, head on over to the Theme Thursday cafe, where breakfast is served all day.

Wonderful cards and a wonderful take on the theme. I really must get myself organised and visit America, that diner looks as though it is straight out of a 1950s Hollywood film.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm hungry now. Got two hours before lunch! Grrr.

The breakfast look delicious! I really like the pink color used in the diner decor. Very 50's : )

ReplyDeleteYes, it does make me hungey!
ReplyDeleteoh man...i need me a piece of toast. Right now!
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I could go to that diner! The breakfast looked fabulous, but I think I would order a burger and fries...and maybe a chocolate shake.
ReplyDeleteMmm mmm mmm ... Where can I find a time machine?? I want to travel back in time & get me some breakfast in that diner!
ReplyDeleteMmmmindeed. I need to enjoy breakfast more to in fact.
ReplyDeleteLove the old diners. There was one down the hill from my grandparents house before they moved to the country. We used to still drive in to town to eat there. And when I was last in the area it was still standing but that was over 15 years ago. Don't know why they never caught on out West.
ReplyDeleteDiner still there? I love old diners, very homely.

ReplyDeleteSuppose they use a bunch of little Frosty Snowmen as their winter decorations? ;-)
that breakfast woulc certainly carry me through until lunch..or maybe dinner! LOL! Yum!
ReplyDeleteDo you think the Brando look-alike is still there? After seeing that pic, I'm going to be disappointed in my yogurt tomorrow morning!
ReplyDeleteGood take on TT. We recently had lunch at a diner that was built in 1930 and is still going strong. There are quite a few of them in the Northeast. They always seem to have great food.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog!
Now I know why I ordered breakfast food for lunch today, subliminal messages beamed from cyberspace! There are still some great diners out there- even if the food isn't always memorable, the mid-century prefab architecture ambiance makes for an interesting experience.
ReplyDeleteWay cool diner! We have one almost identical to this in Shrewbury, MA. Unfortunately, it is no longer in service ( I think... ) CHROME!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why it is, but breakfast always seems to taste better in a diner!
ReplyDeleteMy post for Theme Thursday is up here.
