Rally Day

What's the difference between Rally Day and Rallyday? One is a call to prayer and an effort to get kids back to Sunday school in the fall. The other has to do with rally cars and an event that takes place in Wiltshire, England. These postcards have nothing to do with cars.
See how many fonts you can identify on the first card.

Here are the backs of the cards, sent to Joyce Thompson of Santa Ana and Mrs. Veryl Culver of Arcata.

  1. The message and the idea of both of these still rings true. Thanks for posting them.

  2. You're not gonna believe this, but speaking of rallying -- in another sense of the word -- Occupy Moiser is starting today. I made a u-turn when I passed the signs yesterday to double check and make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me. I haven't ventured out yet to see exactly what's going on, but I'll keep you posted:)

  3. I feel bad for laughing so hard. Occupy Mosier? It's just hard to imagine what there is to occupy.

  4. I have some Rally Day postcards, but the word "rally" mainly makes me think of pep rallies.

  5. You wouldn't see cards like this around now - not around SF anyway....

  6. Rally Day cards are fun, but what I like best are the cards that point out that you were absent from Sunday School. Guilt trip!

  7. Truly classic, the date in the post card proves it all! Post cards have changed a lot these days.
